This article tries to approach a medieval literary work, The Canterbury Tales written by Geoffrey Chaucer,to the students of Secondary Education. The tales that fit best our purposes are those that deal with marriage and the role of women. These are the tales told by the Wife of Bath, the Clerk, the Merchant and Franklin.
